Content of the first session
The second session will cover: "Building Stronger Clubs: Leadership, Growth & Purpose"
Cheerleading is on an exciting path of growth and development. But beyond athletic progress, many clubs face organizational challenges that must be addressed in order to truly thrive. As a relatively new sport, cheerleading still lacks accessible tools to help clubs grow with confidence, structure – and safety.
This session will explore how clubs can shift from simply managing to leading – with clear direction, shared purpose, and a strong culture of safeguarding and inclusion.
Examples of practical strategies that help coaches and club leaders build structures that make their organizations more sustainable, engaging, and future-ready:
- Build involvement and ownership among members, athletes, and volunteers
- Define your club’s “why” – the deeper purpose that keeps people engaged and motivated
- Plan for sustainable growth with long-term vision
- Run effective monthly meetings – with clear purpose, structured agendas, and meaningful follow-up
- Create development pathways – not just for athletic performance, but also for organizational leadership and safe environments
Whether you are a coach, a club leader, or simply passionate about cheerleading’s future, this session will provide you with practical tools and a fresh mindset to help lead your club in a direction that is strong, inclusive, and safe for everyone.
