Insurance members BCF
All members of affiliated BCF clubs are covered by the federation insurance, provided they are correctly registered in the BCF Member Platform.
The insurance provides protection during cheerleading activities, competitions, training sessions, and other club activities.
NEW FROM THE 2026-2027 SEASON ONWARDS
All insurance claims must now be handled entirely through the BCF Member Platform.
Paper forms, handwritten documents, and claim files submitted by email will no longer be accepted or processed. This allows claims to be handled faster and more efficiently.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT?
Have you suffered a sports injury during an insured activity?
STEP 1
Report the accident to your club as soon as possible.
STEP 2
Download the insurance documents through the BCF Member Platform.
STEP 3
Complete all required information digitally.
STEP 4
Have the medical certificate completed by the treating physician.
STEP 5
Upload the medical certificate and all other required documents directly to the platform.
The upload deadline for your documents is two weeks after the accident. Documents received after this deadline will not be submitted to the insurance company.
STEP 6
The insurance company will contact you directly.
EXTRA
Keep as many documents related to your accident as possible: medical certificates, doctor's bills, physiotherapy invoices, pharmacy receipts, etc.
Always submit these documents to your health insurance provider first (keep a copy), as the insurance company only reimburses costs that are not reimbursed by the health insurance provider.
These documents must be submitted to the insurance company.
Never submit the documents directly to our insurance company. They will not be accepted.
WHAT IS INSURED?
SPORTS ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Personal accident insurance covers you in case you are injured.
This coverage is often linked to your health insurance and may intervene in medical expenses. It can also provide income protection following a sports accident if required.
The insurance provides extensive coverage for bodily injuries occurring during sports activities in Belgium and abroad, including medical expenses, compensation in case of permanent disability, and compensation in case of death resulting from a sports activity.
THIRD-PARTY LIABILITY
Third-party liability insurance (TPL) applies when you make a mistake that causes damage to another person.
TPL coverage may be included in a family insurance policy, but this is not always the case. Please check your own insurance contract carefully.
This insurance protects sports clubs against mistakes in the management and organization of sports activities. In addition, volunteer helpers (members and non-members) and one-time visitors participating in sports activities and events such as barbecues, quizzes, and club events are automatically covered.
The personal liability of members is also covered, provided that their own family insurance intervenes first.
