Club membership and members

Why become a member of BCF?
We are members of the BOIC (Belgian Olympic Interfederal Committee), ICU (International Cheer Union- recognized by the IOC) and ECU (European Cheer Union)) and are thus the only official federation in Belgium recognized for the sport of cheerleading.

To continue to grow and professionalize we need your support. A membership with insurance is essential for us to take further steps in the sports landscape.

Membership season 2023-2024 Clubs/Members

For whom?

For all Belgian clubs that offer Cheerleading or Performance cheer in their sport offerings.

Different options:

1. Effective member (CLUB level) with insurance

  • Voting right on General Assembly
  • Membership fee per club (50 euro per club)
  • Additional insurance for club possible through our insurer Ethias (Extra charge required based on your choice)

Benefits

  • Club support
    • Help with rulebook
    • Help with questions about the association, club operation, sports landscape
    • Help with questions about coaching
  • Club data on BCF website + club information is passed on when requesting events, ...

Insurance Members (MEMBERS level)

  • 12 euro per member
    • Only possible as a club for all members of your club.
    • Members: athletes, coaches, assistant coaches and volunteers who help out on a regular basis.

Benefits

  • 5% discount on all activities organized by BCF/VCF per member
  • Physical accident insurance for during: club trainings, participation in events organized by BCF, participation in foreign competitions, events organized by the club,...

2. Effective member (CLUB level) without insurance

  • Voting right on General Assembly
  • Membership fee per club (50 euro per club)

3. Joined member (CLUB level)

  • No extra cost
  • Non-voting at General Assembly
  • No club support
  • Club must have own insurance in order for both club training and members when participating activities organized by BCF

How to become a member?

New clubs
New clubs can become members by sending an email to info@belgiancheer asking to become a member for season 2023-2024.

Existing clubs
Existing clubs will receive an email asking which option of membership they will take. If no response by September 15, 2023, the existing club's membership will be dropped.
