WORKGROUP CLUB SUPPORT & TECHNIQUE DEVELOPMENT FOR STARTING CHEER CLUBS

Objective of the workgroup

This working group focuses on how we can better support clubs with limited experience or technical knowledge in cheerleading. The goal is to reduce barriers and make safe, high-quality techniques more accessible—especially for beginner or developing clubs.

Focus Areas

  • Identify the needs of clubs with little cheerleading experience
  • Explore solutions to make knowledge accessible locally or digitally
  • Propose suitable workshops, formats, or resources
  • Develop support pathways for new clubs or beginner coaches

Examples of Topics

  • Structure and organization of a training session for beginner coaches
  • Online learning paths or video formats
  • Mobile workshops or regional training hubs
  • Mentorship or buddy club systems
  • Cheerstarter packs or starter kits with materials and content

Desired Profiles

  • Coaches or committee members from both experienced and beginner clubs
  • Coaches with experience in basic training or education
  • People interested in pedagogy or club development
  • Anyone who wants to contribute to a strong and inclusive foundation for cheerleading

Operation

  • First meeting: September 2025
  • 3 working sessions (online)

Goal

  • Delivery of a recommendation report with concrete proposals by January 2026
